What is it about?
This paper describes the need for support group for families raising children with disabilities. Families involved in the support group were interviewed for them to share their needs and how the support group has been helpful to them.

Why is it important?
Parents raising children with disabilities face many challenges in life, from physical and emotional demands of care, to daily managing the educational and social systems, and facing discrimination in society. In a support group, families can offer resources to one another and encourage one another.
Perspectives
The Christian church is God's instrument of love and discipleship. It is a supportive environment for parents to experience God's love and care from one another. The church, as the body of the Christ, can use this environment to share their joys and suffering as well.
