Why is it important?
Once we have an interpretation we can determine appropriate methods to analyse the meaning of specific political arguments. We can ascribe 'meaningless nonsense' to particular views independent of our own ideological precommitments. The article proposes a distinct brand of conceptual analysis that arises from the interpretation of political argument that gives us a neutral way of making such ascriptions. This brand can be elaborated into a general approach to political theory.
