What is it about?

Urinary Angiotensinogen (AGT) is known to demonstrate intrarenal RAAS. The study investigated whether HCTZ increased or decreased urinary AGT excretion in patient with CKD.

Similar to "salt-restriction diet", HCTZ also decreased intrarenal RAAS.

Perspectives

Further study is needed whether HCTZ mono therapy can decrease intrarenal RAAS activity.
