Biofuels and Rural Poverty make an original academic contribution to the existing academic body of literature on rural poverty in general and biofuels in particular.

Why is it important?

It is important because of the fact that the current controversial global debate on biofuels led to the large-scale production of transportation of fuel substitutes which further led to furious competition among the countries of the North and the South.
