Why is it important?

This research advocates for more careful reporting of criminal cases and suspects, considering that the now inevitable potential for online and social media virality can shatter lives.


This article is part of a wider PhD study and hopes to contribute to a healthier, fairer online debate in respect of both freedom of expression and users' right not to live in fear of abuse.
