What is it about?

The artcle exlores journalists' understanding of freedom and how it relates to the ideas of autonomy and independence. Based on the Worlds of Journalism Study survey and case study analysis of journalistic discourse of freedom in Serbia and Czech Republic it argues that what journalists perceive as freedom goes along the lines of what they believe journalism should be - a freedom to - and what they experience on the ground outlines freedom as a freedom from.
