Why is it important?

AA 7075 is one of the strongest aluminum grades with higher flow stress, which makes it difficult to plastically deform using FSP. Very limited studies have been reported in the field. Combining the high strength of AA 7075 and neutron absorptivity and high hardness of boron carbide offers unmatched property blend for current and emerging industrial applications.

Perspectives

Apart from low density combining the high strength of AA 7075 and neutron absorptivity and high hardness of boron carbide offers unmatched property blend for current and emerging industrial applications like Automotive, Aerospace, and Nuclear industries.
