The becoming of radio bodies

What is it about?

An article about elderly, Danish peoples´experiences with listening to radio in a life-course perspective. The article uses socio-material theory for the analysis, showing how life-long listening to radio has changed bodies into "listening bodies".

Why is it important?

The article adds new perspectives to the cultural history of media, in this case radio. Furthermore, it applies a qualitative and personal approach, since the empirical material used consists of interviews with elderly, Danish radio listeners.
