Why is it important?

Inclusive Systemic Evaluation for Gender equality, Environments and Marginalized voices, the ‘ISE4GEMs’ is a new evaluation approach. The ISE4GEMs approach seeks to combine systemic evaluation practice with intersectional analysis of three important social categories: Gender equality, Environments and Marginalized voices, or the ‘GEMs’ Framework.

Perspectives

Writing this article provided us as co-authors to blend our mutual professional and academic expertise in gender equality, evaluation, global development and systems thinking. The challenge of working with the UN Sustainable Development Goals is the paucity of methodologies to understand the intersectional aspects of each global challenge.
