What is it about?
By using microphones and accelerometers the acoustic and vibration response of the building is acquired, then this data is analyzed using FDD methods. By using both microphones, as an acoustic response and an accelerometer, for a vibration response, these can determine the source of unknown excitation

Why is it important?
The results show that using microphones, as an acoustic response, can be as reliable as the use of accelerometers to identify forced vibration.
