What is it about?
This article presents a study that identifies the gender dynamics prevailing in elementary school teaching, a contexto in which the men (members of an otherwise socially dominant group) are proportionally scarce, and shows that although they constitute a small minority, they do not lose the social advantages they generally have: on the contrary, they seem rather to gain several privileges.

Why is it important?
The results show strong links between the tokenism dynamics and gender asymmetry, putting the token men at an advantage. Thus, tokenism phenomenon seems to be limited to maintaining the gender social order
Perspectives
I hope that with this article, people will understand the relevance of considering a gender perspective in their analyzes.
