What is it about?

The best access for hemodialysis is an autologous arteriovenous fistula (AVF). The most helpful way for vasodilation in the upper limb is stellate ganglion block. We aim to evaluate the effect of stellate ganglion block on outcome of vascular access for dialysis.

Why is it important?

In previous studies, no comparison has been made concerning the effect of the block before fistula placement and after it. So we designed the present study to evaluate the effect of stellate ganglion block on AVF outcome
