What is it about?

This study explored how implementing a school-wide system to promote positive student behaviors influenced teachers perceptions of their working conditions, and whether schools' fidelity in implementing the program related to student achievement outcomes.

Why is it important?

This study contributes to research on Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) and affirms that teachers in schools implementing the program faithfully have more positive perceptions of their working conditions.

Perspectives

In addition to added to the literature on PBIS, this study was the first to use the TELL Kentucky teacher survey of working conditions as a tool for measuring a program's effectiveness.
