Unions must accelerate traditional organizing where possible, while supporting prototypes of a bolder unionism that motivate and inspire the 89 percent of U.S. workers who do not hold union cards today.

Why is it important?
The current labor debate around "How to survive the Janus case in the Supreme Court" is the wrong question. Rather, unions must center the debate around how to build power for workers on a mass basis. That means organizing militant unions ready to challenge capital's profit motives through strong collective action.
