What is it about?

We profiled circulating organ-specific miRNAs for the liver, heart, and skeletal muscle of cynomolgus monkeys.

Why is it important?

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis revealed organ-specific miRNA in cynomolgus monkeys. We then performed RT-qPCR to determine the circulating levels of the miRNAs.

Perspectives

This is the first research that shows organ-specific miRNAs and their circulating levels in cynomolgus monkeys.
