Why is it important?
There are multiple refugee groups in the United States that are often marginalized and excluded. This article is important for healthcare and any other human service providers who work with refugees to understand what might be some of their unique needs and experiences.
Perspectives
Working on this study with a refugee resettlement agency and an amazing group of refugee women from the Congo was a great experience and I hope the article leads health and human service practitioners to greater understanding and interest in the unique needs of refugee women in the United States.
