Why is it important?

The article demonstrates the power of action research, activity theory, and a sociocultural framework to reader response for students' literacy development. It also provides an in-depth look at the complexity of collaborative work groups in classroom settings.

Perspectives

This was the most difficult article for me to write to date because of the wealth of data we had to sift through and make sense of. The process showed me the complexity of joint, collaborative activity in classrooms, especially when using digital tools. I was driven to get through the writing of this article by the students' amazing work.
