A contact problem for a plane weakened by variable width slots

What is it about?

An effective calculation scheme for periodic system of variable width slots partially closed by external forces is suggested. The solution of the contact problem is obtained in quadratures.The obtained relations allow solution of the inverse problem, i.e. to determine the external force parameters and stress state of an isotropic medium at which the given area of the slot faces contact is achieved.
