Why is it important?
The creative writing workshop has, for over a century, been in constant and successful use in the U.S., and many decades of research support its use as a student-centered pedagogical approach, something in high demand in 21st century classrooms. This article offers the lived essence of longitudinal experience from workshop participants in answer to the workshop model's most vocal critics.
