In this paper we propose that brain injury may leads to long-term complications including the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease

Why is it important?
We strengthen the concept that brain injury may induce neurodegenerative disease in late life. This is important as several factors contribute to the brain injury including vehicle accidents, wars, bomb blasts etc.
Perspectives
This article is useful in preventing the number of brain injury mediated neurological disorders in old age including in veterans and civilians exposed to brain injuries.
