What is it about?

Percutaneous electrolysis is a galvanic current applied directly to the plantar fascia guided by ultrasound. We have demonstrated the effectiveness of this technique in chronic plantar fasciosis.

Why is it important?

A part of plantar fasciitis does not respond to conservative treatment and can be treated with percutaneous sclerosis, with results similar to corticosteroid infiltration.

Perspectives

The therapeutic possibilities in chronic plantar fasciitis are extended.
