Why is it important?

Treatment of second MTP joint dislocation that is associated with hallux valgus is difficult, and recurrence after surgery has also been reported. Correction of the foot structure may reduce recurrence.

Perspectives

Since the foot structure affects the toe direction of the second MTP joint dislocation associated with hallux valgus, we can infer the cause of dislocation development. Also, it can be expected to improve its outcome.
