Why is it important?
There are significantly more surgeons performing total ankle arthroplasty. This article looks at some quantifiable aspects of surgeon's and institution's in the care of these patients.
Perspectives
I think one aspect of medicine that helps it to advance is to be able to critically evaluate what we are doing every day. I think the second factor is to act on some of those finding so that we can continue to advance our specialty and make any procedure we do safer and more efficacious for our patients.
