This publication was the most important one in my life because it combines a technique I have used since 1980 to help people with Choice Theory's WDEP system. The WDEP system and Choice Theory has been designated as best practices. Working with Dr. Bob WUbbolding has been exciting and has provided me with so many tools to use in helping clients. I started working in a mental health agency late in 1978 and it was my wish to continue improving my helping skills since that time. The information contained in this article has been an outline of how I promote a therapeutic alliance with clients for almost 20 years in private practice.
