Why is it important?
Validates and extends preliminary findings from the first national study of clinical peer review practices in a second large cohort of hospitals and shows that most could dramatically improve program effectiveness by adopting best practices.
Perspectives
Looking back, I wish the findings from this study had made greater impact on behavior. Such is the challenge of getting the evidence to the attention of the decision-makers. Kudos and similar platforms were not widely used then.
