What is it about?

To gain a detailed understanding of the views of change of seven young adults who received dental (orthognathic) surgery. Interviews were carried out approximately 1 week before and 6-8 weeks after the surgery. The data were analyzed using a recognised systematic approach.

There is a need to improve communication between clinicians, families, and young adults seeking this type of surgery and our study gives an indication as to why this is the case.
