What is it about?
We have statistically studied the relationship between Emotional Maturity and Self-Perception among HIV+ adolescents to understand how the variables operate in this population. Based on the results, a life skills intervention to better operationalise and address these constructs was proposed.

Why is it important?
This work is one of the first and few in the Indian context to assess these particular psychological variables among HIV+ youth. The elaboration of a novel life skills intervention also allows other practitioners and researchers to employ that interventional practice in the field.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. This article also allowed us to help the participants better cope as part of our larger intervention enabling us to make effective positive change as practitioners.
