This study explores the effects of an experiential exercise used with senior-level undergraduates in a university death and dying class.

Why is it important?

Previous research has demonstrated that large percentages of college students have experienced significant losses, including both death and non-death, during the previous 12 months. Our study shows the efficacy of an experiential exercise for encouraging growth in knowledge building, insight/compassion, and skills building with 436 students over a three-year span.
