What is it about?

Crowdsourced reviewing of books, movie, and products are increasingly commonplace. In this study, we examine what features of games users pay attention to when they rate and review games.

Why is it important?

Previous research has focused on expert reviews of game. However, understanding how actual players attend to game features is practically and theoretically important given the large number of player generated ratings and reviews.

Perspectives

This article is interesting because it shows how data generated by every day people in interest driven groups (e.g., gaming sites) can provide useful data to researchers.
