The study determined that business school seniors, who were actively involved in the game, a chose the correct strategy for their firms, were the most profitable in their industry.

Why is it important?

A number of publishers have stated their games can be used for assurance of learning purposes. Unfortunately they have not conducted research that supports those claims. This article outlined a methodology that would objectively determine if such claims can be made.

Perspectives

Many claims have been made for and against the efficacy of computer-supported games for business education. This is the only study that addresses all the arguments and doubts about a game's efficacy in a consistent longitudinal fashion.
