Smart base isolation system is comprised of base isolation and MR damper which has been designed optimally using GA.

Why is it important?
This control system works as a semi-active control system , hence take benefits of both base isolation and MR dampers. Also the design parameters have been determined optimally.
Perspectives
In this papers , we propose an optimal design procedure for smart base isolation. We have some papers in this field previously, but this one covers the benefits of other papers and that was a great opportunity for me to write a paper with my students and complete our research in this field.
