What is it about?

We compared patients with schizophrenia, PTSD and borderline personality disorder using a cluster analysis, looking at features of trauma, dissociation and characteristics of voices.

Why is it important?

PTSD/BPD subjects with high dissociation scores and childhood trauma, were as likely as to hear external, negative, uncontrollable, distressing voices as subjects with schizophrenia. These scores were more predictive than diagnosis when considering characteristics of voices

Perspectives

We are interested in dissociation/complex PTSD/pseudohallucinations and would welcome any advise or input
