What is it about?
The term of legal culture is widely used in comparative legal studies. However, this use is sometimes incoherent or inappropriate. The article presents some ways of this problematic use.

Why is it important?
The findings show that use of the term of legal culture may only have a real scholarly value if it is done in conscious and reflective way. In addition, a restricted approach is also needed when applying legal culture in comparative law.
