What is it about?

Breaking (also called breakdance) is a multicultural meeting point. Disconnected from immigrant cultural and the Norwegian culture breaking offers youth a identity across etnic background and gender. This paper examines the breakers deliberately identity construction through impression management and what it takes to be recognised as an "insider" within the subculture of breaking.
