Why is it important?
Despite different initiatives to achieve food security in rural Ethiopia, most of the communication strategies become ineffective to connect rural people to food security programs. This shows that rural people are not well communicated about the objective, relevance and implementation strategies of the food security programs. Thus, it becomes a paramount significance to evaluate the role of local communication forms for food security communication and employ them for rural development communication strategies.
Perspectives
Unlike most studies focussing on external communication models and strategies for rural development programs, this study focuses on rural communication forms to promote inclusive development. Hence, this study helps us to understand the role local communication in sustainable development. This is due to the fact that development programs should focus on the context of the development setting.
