What is it about?
The paper attempts to show that Nietzsche repeats some ideas already to be found in Ancient Greek thought, especially heroic ideas from Homer's epics. These ideas were largely abandoned, but Nietzsche resurrected them.

Why is it important?
The paper forces philosophers to face the link between the physical and intellectual, instead of eschewing the body for the life of the mind.
Perspectives
The paper presents a reading of Nietzsche that actually arises from my own struggle to deal with the problem of understanding the contradictions in Rodin's sculpture, The Thinker.
