What is it about?
Critical thinking is an invaluable tool in professional organizations most especially in the developing countries. It means critically appropriating management theories from developed countries within local contexts and situations. The "community of inquiry" model may be used as a concrete method of developing critical thinking not only among organizational leaders but also among the members.

Why is it important?
Critical thinking treated as a normative principle and balanced with a pragmatic orientation provides a rational framework for resolving conflicts that oftentimes ensue from the incoherence between Western-based organizational theories and the actual circumstances of a developing country. In order to optimize the benefits of critical thinking, it should not be expected only among leaders and managers, but also and more importantly, among organizational members and associates.
