What is it about?
This article investigates the subdued commemoration of World War II in Thailand. It documents the sites of memory, and notes that these are mostly found away from the historic core of the capital city. It argues that domestic politics inhibit the scope for significant commemoration, even though Thailand was deeply impacted by the war.
