Why is it important?

Renal involvement occurs in up to 60 % of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and is amajor determinant for morbidity and mortality in these patients. We aim to describe the pattern of response to treatment in a cohort of Egyptian lupus nephritis (LN) patients and to define variable prognostic factors.
