Why is it important?
Our findings show that it is vital that we teach University students how to make best use of ebooks, and we should not assume that they know how to engage with them and get the best out of them. We also need to be aware that many University students still regard print books as important for deep learning.
Perspectives
This article provides further detail regarding user behaviour and ebooks, and provides librarians and educators with recommendations as to how ebooks should be used, and what students need to know in order to use them effectively. it also identifies the key challenges that still exist for ebook use, and what we need to do to further improve the experience.
