What is it about?

While the Association of College and Research Libraries in the United States of America listed data-related issues as a top trends in academic libraries, the awareness of it is fairly different by regions and by countries.

Why is it important?

The paper not only directs attention to the importance of data and portrays researchers’ behaviour, but names some of the services that libraries can offer to foster better management of data.

Perspectives

I made efforts to describe what is actually important in research data management, issues of data quality, about the problems of data citation and approaches to data literacy in the light of the roles that academic and research libraries can play.
