What is it about?

Power inadequacy in sub-Saharan Africa hinders the socio-economic development of the region. The number of small hydropower potentials in the region is enough to adequately provide the region's needed power. However, the region lacks the capacity of turning the hydro energy into a more effective energy type, electrical energy. To comprehensively address these challenges, hydropower technologies need to be domesticated in the region.
