What is it about?
The microwave joining of most commonly used dissimilar materials (MS and SS-316L) was successfully carried out in a multi-mode microwave applicator. The perfect metallurgical bonding was accomplished with complete melting of the interface powder layer. The obtained joint was dense and homogeneous.
