What is it about?
In 41 unselected PD patients we perform 2 consecutive 2.27% glucose 2h exchanges, the first of 2.5L (high intraperitoneal pressure) and the second 1.5L (low intraperitoneal pressure). Final glucose concentration of effluent of 2.5L exchange was significantly higher than of 1.5L one, but UF was higher in the 1.5L exchange with lower intraperitoneal pressure. All factors related are discussed.
