What is it about?

Bullying is an important problem for children and linked with a variety of psychosocial problems including depression and suicidality. We have shown in this work preadolescent children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are at risk to involve bullying even in their first years of schooling.

Why is it important?

We screened near 1000 students and examine ADHD and co-morbid psychiatric disorders with a semi-structured diagnostic interview. Age and gender matched non-ADHD peer randomly assigned to control group. Additionally we measured quality of life of children in both group.

Perspectives

It was a hard work to screen and examine over 130 students with clinical examination. Working in a different setting was great pleasure for me. I offer clinical treatment in my department to all children and families who have participated in the study. I hope you find the article interesting.
