What is it about?
We were interested in whether there are variety in patterns of change in intimate partner violence during the transition of adolescence to young adulthood.

Why is it important?
Our findings suggest that we must assume for there to be one average pattern of change in intimate partner violence but rather that change in such behaviors over time can vary across a population.
Perspectives
I view this article as a step to help researchers (including myself) gain a better understanding of change in intimate partner violence as adolescents become adults. Understanding change in these behaviors during this transitional period is critical as it is then that individuals become more romantically involved and have higher risks of being involved in an aggressive relationship.
