Taurine-loaded poly (ε-caprolactone)/gelatin electrospun mat as a potential wound dressing material

What is it about?

In the present study, we applied Taurine into a poly (ε-caprolactone)/gelatin electrospun mat and developed an effective wound dressing. The in-vitro and in-vivo study showed that the prepared dressing could improve the healing process.

Why is it important?

The inflammatory process has a determinative role in the wound healing process and Taurine with its anti-inflammatory effect is a suitable bioactive agent to incorporate in wound dressings.
