What is it about?

This article presents a new dataset on the conflict management capabilities of international organizations. It covers more than twenty organizations between 1945 through 2010. The article presents the background of the data, provides descriptive analysis, and illustrates an application.

Why is it important?

The dataset enables a move away from assumptions of international organizations as homogeneous and static. It opens up for the study of how institutional variation affects conflict management strategies and outcomes. It can also be used to study institutional evolution.
