This is the first study that has examined test anxiety across the Singapore and U.S. cultures using sophisticated statistical techniques.

Perspectives

It is important to see if the construct of test anxiety is similar across groups (e.g., cultures). Once we know the construct is equivalent, then and only then can we make comparisons across the groups. For example, which group has higher levels of test anxiety?
