Why is it important?

This paper reviews the most important relevant literature and summarises the key findings of the research on reusing and recycling the discarded modules in purpose of to extend the life cycle of the RO membranes

Perspectives

Waste prevention, reusing and recycling discarded RO membranes is expected to contribute to lowering the social and environmental costs of employing RO membrane technology, thereby providing greater sustainability.
